Presented by the City and County of Honolulu’s Department of Facility Maintenance, the Hawaiʻi State Department of Health Clean Water Branch, and the Waikīkī Aquarium, the 13th Annual Mauka to Makai Environmental Expo returns to the Aquarium on Saturday, April 4, 2020.

The free, family friendly event celebrates Earth Month and promotes keeping Hawaiʻi clean, protected and free of pollution, from the mountaintops to the ocean. At Mauka to Makai, guests will enjoy live entertainment, a fish release, native plant giveaway, a kids’ puppet show, and interactive activities from various organizations including hands-on learning, arts and crafts, and educational exhibits that showcase ways to protect and preserve Hawaiʻi’s environment.

The event is free and open to the public. Free parking will be available at Waikiki Elementary School beginning at 8:45 a.m., with free shuttle to and from the Aquarium courtesy of the Waikīkī Trolley. Guests are also invited to bring refillable water bottles to stay hydrated with our many water stations.
